This weeks Stamp & Scrap challenge was to use the Faux Suede Technique. (Click on the pic to enlarge) I used this technique on the snowflake. I got this sweet dsp, Candy Cane Christmas, and the Northern Frost snowflakes from our sponsor and fellow DT member, Catherine Pooler, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
To achieve the sueded look, I crumbled & rolled the snowflake until the layers of cardstock started to come apart. I then pulled (very gently) until I came up with two snowflakes. The inside of the cardstock resembles that fuzzy suede feeling!!! Pretty neat!!!
Why don't you give it a try?
