Fun with Flowers

Happy hump-day to you! We're half way to the weekend, YIPEE!!!!! Why am I so excited you ask? Because my Mom is taking the boys for a sleepover on Saturday, which means I may actually sleep past 6am!!! I have a dinner date with my wonderful husband AND I will definitely be spending some time in my stamping room :)

Ok, now that you know my story...onto the card, which is why you are really here!! I'm playing along with a new-to-me challenge blog Inkspirations Challenges, what a great sketch! I had lots of fun playing with ink on the focal image. First I did some shadow stamping in Chocolate Chip & Sahara Sand ink and then I made a "sky" using my sponges & Baja Breeze ink. I finished it off with some distressing around the edges!! I love the outcome, it was definitely worth the extra time & effort to make it special!

Enjoy :) Maureen

This is GORGEOUS, Mo! I love how you used that technique - I really want to try it, but, embarrassingly, I've been just too lazy too! lol ;)

Greetings, I just stumbled upon this blog and love your wonderful creations! I am into origami and calligraphy and just start card-making, and this may be strange but your name sounds so familiar to me--I think your husband was my physics teacher years ago. Anyway, have a great day and keep up the lovely work. Best wishes :)

This card reminds me of Long Beach Island. Why you ask??? I have no clue but it does. First thought that jumped into my head.
Love it Maureen!!!
