Phew, it's finally Friday. I have been a day ahead of myself all week. Monday felt like Tuesday, Tuesday felt like Wednesday, etc. It's been a great week, but it always feels good to know the weekend is just about here!!!!
As I mentioned the other day, my PTI order arrived. I had a few minutes, and I stress, a few, that I threw this little cutie together. I love the versatility of this set. I can't wait to use it for masculine cards, holiday, etc.
Have a great weekend all! As we come to the end of January we'll see how I'm doing on my New Years crafty goals :) I better start cracking on my Christmas cards...
Good afternoon scrapping world :) I hope you are having a great day. I am, I got happy mail! Yes, my PTI order is here!!!! I can't wait to play (I sound like a kid, don't I?).
Ok, on to my card...I made this card some time ago, when stocking up on thank you cards for the holidays! I love this PTI paper, it makes me feel so peaceful!! It's a super easy card to make and a great way to use up those scraps. There is little stamping, just a few quick cuts and wa-la, you are done. The next time you aren't feeling so crafty, or you seem to have lost your mojo, grab some scraps and make a simple card like this one. Sometimes, the most stunning cards are the most simple. They tend to pack a lot of punch!
Thanks for coming by. Hope to see you here again soon. Maureen
I finally made my first scrapbook page of 2010!!! It felt so good to scrap :) It sometimes gets overwhelming, with years and years of photos to "catch up" on. I have a new solution for that which I will share in February.
**We've had quite a stressful, crazy week and a half here on the homefront. Seems like I can finally catch my breath and get some things done. Hopefully that means I'll be spending time in my stamping room! Oh, I just placed a PTI order, yay, that means new goodies to play with soon!!! TGIF!!!
Wow, two weeks in a row! Love those Mojo sketches! And even more unbelievable is that I actually made this card on Monday. Of course it took two days to get it photographed and uploaded, by hey, it's been a rough couple of days here!! My poor little kitty cat has been sick and we've all been so worried about her. I was hoping to steal some cuddles from here today while the kids were at school, but she is sleeping so peacefully, I don't want to bother her! I'm hoping she perks up over the next couple of day!! Keep your fingers crossed, thanks!
Stamps: PTI Birdwatching Additions, Everyday Button Bits (sentiment)
Ink: SU Ruby Red
Paper: Retired SU! dsp, Ruby Red
Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds, Glue pen, Coluzzle, ribbon, pretties, Scalloped edge punch
Today I am sharing with you, once again, a birthday card. I told you I'm swamped with birthday's! This is a card for my friends son, who turns 1 at the end of the month. I used Everyday Button Bits along with some PTI designer paper ( I can't remember the name, maybe Baby Blessings?) And, the MOJO sketch this week. I decided to leave off the embellishment in the upper right. I didn't feel like this card needed anything else :) Super simple, quick & easy, CAS card!!! Have a great Sunday!
The 13th was my Mom's birthday. I waited a few days to post her card because I know she visits my blog often (thanks Mom). I wanted to make her something bright and cheery and when I think of my Mom, I always think shades of blue to match her eyes. So, this is what I came up with. I used Everyday button bits, again. I have a serious obsession with buttons people :) Have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!!!
TGIF! We woke up to a fresh coating of snow and the little ones have a delayed opening. We are all enjoying the lazy morning :)
I made these two cards for the CAS48 challenge this week. The challenge was to make Valentine's for those we love and others we care about. I have to say, I'm not one who gets all mushy for Valentine's day. My husband and I barely celebrate it. But, now that we have kids, I do try to make the day special for them. These "You're so sweet" cards are for them. Yes, I did make a pink card for a boy. My little guy loves the color pink :) BTW, he's feeling better today. I used PTI "Everyday Button Bits" again. You'll probably be seeing this for a while, you know how I LOVE buttons!!!!!!
Enjoy your weekend everyone!!!
Hey there! This post is going to be short & sweet. My little guy is home today with a belly ache :(
Don't you love those sweet little "chickadees"? I love this set. I won it from Heather P.'s blog last week (happy dance), it's been on my wish list since it came out, I'm thrilled to have it in my collection!!!! Thanks Heather :)
Happy Hump-day :)
With the holiday's having just passed, I have so many reasons to say thanks! You'll be seeing a lot of thank you cards popping up in the near future. I'm really into heat embossing lately, I think it's my favorite technique (well, for now). I love how it adds just a subtle pop.
I combined many different PTI sets on this card: Damask Designs, Polka Dot basics and Friends 'til the End. And used a fun and bright color combo: Raspberry tart, Spring Moss, SU! Old Olive and SU! Basic Gray.
Happy Monday all! I was completely inspired this weekend by Nichole's Scraptastic post. She challenged her design team and her readers to use up those scraps we all have in our stash. I, myself, tend to hoard scraps!! If it's big enough to use as a sentiment strip or I can punch it, I save it. Here I used a bunch of PTI scraps (except the green color is SU! old olive) and punched them with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch. I kept it clean and simple and added just a few other touches: some piercing, twine, a sentiment and some recycled rhinestones (they are actually part of an embellishment that I have started to cut apart.) I love how cheery this card is. It makes me feel like I'm a million miles away from this miserably cold weather!! I hope it adds sunshine to the person I send it to also. I've made several other cards using my scraps, I'll get to posting that soon.
Off to pick up the little one :) Enjoy!!!
Good morning! And, hello 2010!! I can't believe it's 2010, where has the time gone?
As we begin a new year, I'm thinking about goals I have. Not necessarily "resolutions", but some goals I'd like to accomplish this year. Of course I have to have some crafty goals and I thought I'd share them with you today. Maybe you can hold me accountable if I start to go off track :)
1. To make 10 Christmas cards a month.
Since I never completed my cards this year, I think this is a great goal. I joined a challenge on SCS and hope to have lots of cards ready by December of 2010.
2. To make 10 other cards per month and at least 2 scrapbook pages.
3. Leave one morning per week to craft.
My little guy is in pre-k every morning. I'd like to keep one morning free of errands, cleaning, laundry, etc. A morning just for me!
4. To be chosen for a design team, and/or have a project published. (ok, this one is a reach, but a girl can dream)
So, there you have it! My 2010 crafty goals. Since I WILL be doing more crafting, there should be more posting!!!
I'd love to hear your crafty goals for this year!!
