Welcome Fall!

Although fall brings colder weather, it is one of my favorite seasons!!! I think mostly because of our fall traditions; pumpkin and apple picking, baking yummy treats, Thanksgiving, wearing comfy sweaters and the beautiful fall foliage! I take out my camera a lot this time of year to capture all of the special moments that fall brings with it!!!

This CAS card was made for SSC Stamp and Scrap Group. Today is the last day to enter for a chance to win a prize from this month's sponsor Catherine Pooler, Stampin' Up demonstrator. Believe me, you don't want to miss out!!!

Have a Seat

I finally had a chance to play with my new SU! goodies :) Tuesday mornings are my time! I have several ladies over to stamp, we drink coffee and chit chat. They are all cardmakers looking to get an early start on their x-mas cards. I kind of do whatever I'm working on, since I do stamp on a regular basis. I'm hoping I get one (or more) sucked in, so we can continue after the holiday's. They think I'm crazy, LOL!!!

I used this weeks Mojo sketch (158) and had a blast with "Have a Seat". For whatever reason this set jumped out at me the first time I looked through the new catalog, it was an instant must have!!! I love all of the vintage-y stamps & embellishments, the lace & antique brads rock in the current catty :)

Off to volunteer at the school! Happy hump day!!

In Bloom - CASE Study

During my normal morning blog hopping, I came across a new-to-me challenge blog, CASE Study. It's definitely right up my alley.

I decided to go with a few colors I'm not normally drawn to. I pulled these out of my scraps and thought they were perfect and cheery and exactly the feel I was going for :) The flowers were stamped on & then trimmed from PTI Raspberry Tart & Melon Berry cardstock. The leaves and sentiment panel were made using Spring Moss and Kraft was used for my base. I ran the large panel through my cuttlebug using the Swiss Dot embossing folder. I chose small amounts of black accents to contrast the bright colors.

That's all from me for now. Thanks for stopping by!!

My type

Hello there! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend!!! I sure am!! I spent the entire day in my stamping room, not stamping, but organizing, cleaning, throwing stuff away. Going through my papers, scraps...oh, I just love it!!! I know most people hate doing that kind of stuff, but I LOVE it :) I wish I could make a living out of organizing, I'd be in heaven! I'll take some pics tomorrow in the daylight and share a bit of my room with you.

My card above uses the October Afternoon "Thrift Shop" line, both the stamps & the paper, which I realized today I have almost used the entire pad! I can't believe it, I don't think I have ever done that!!! I love the vintage feel of this line! It just is screaming to be distressed :) Although, I think maybe I got a little carried away with my scissors on this one.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! I hope you are doing something fun!!!

Birthday Bakery!

Is it really Thursday already? How on earth did this happen? I thought that once the kids went back to school I'd have all of this free time...um, I'm still waiting!!! I need a routine, a schedule of sorts!! Any ideas?

Ok, anyways, this weeks Card Corner Challenge at SSC is a sketch, yipee! My favorite! Even better, I made this one :)

Using all of my fabulous goodies from Catherine, SU! Demo, I made this fun card.

I have to say, although this paper is way out of my comfort zone, it is beautiful!!! I love all of the different patterns & the bright colors!!! I had a blast coloring these adorable images from Birthday Bakery, I felt like a kids again!!! I don't usually do much coloring in my card making!!! I used my blender pen & the ink from the lid of my ink pads. I also added some dazzling diamonds to glam it up :) (Click on pic to see details)

My favorite part of this entire card is the RIBBON, can someone say AMAZING!!! This ribbon totally rocks, satin on BOTH sides, what a treat!!! I loved it so much that I ordered myself 2 spools one in Real Red and the other in Old Olive!!! You must get your hands on some, I promise you will love it too. Contact Catherine Pooler

Wow, I'm chatty :) Have a great night! I hope to be back again soon!!! I just got my new PTI goodies yesterday and my SU! order is due tomorrow!!! My b-day is around the corner & these are my b-day treats! Happy birthday to me :) ok, I'm really done now :)

All Supplies Stampin' Up!

SFYTT-Many Thanks!

Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a great start :)

I had some free time yesterday afternoon so I starting bopping around to my favorite places looking for a sketch to get my mojo going and I came across this one: (You can visit Jen Del Muro's blog here.)
Here's my card:

I've been wanting to use the big potted plant stamp from the So This is Love set by Ippity. This sketch was perfect for it. I paired the image with a sentiment from Many Thanks, also Ippity and some Thrift Shop patterned paper!!! I finished off the card with some distressing and sponging around the edges!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you again soon :)

Stamps: Ippity
Ink: SU! Choc Chip & Baja Breeze
Paper: PTI Dark Choc, Vintage Cream, OA Thrift Shop pad
Accessories: PTI buttons, SU mat pack , paper piercer, sponge and Offray ribbon

Faux Suede

This weeks Stamp & Scrap challenge was to use the Faux Suede Technique. (Click on the pic to enlarge) I used this technique on the snowflake. I got this sweet dsp, Candy Cane Christmas, and the Northern Frost snowflakes from our sponsor and fellow DT member, Catherine Pooler, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

To achieve the sueded look, I crumbled & rolled the snowflake until the layers of cardstock started to come apart. I then pulled (very gently) until I came up with two snowflakes. The inside of the cardstock resembles that fuzzy suede feeling!!! Pretty neat!!!

Why don't you give it a try?

I immediately fell in love with this sketch. It's definitely a keeper! In fact, I loved it so much I made 2 cards with it.

Obviously I'm in a holiday kind of mood :)

TFL!!! Have a great weekend!

Ippity Christmas

I'm so excited to share this card with you today! Did you ever envision something in your head and have it come out exactly as planned on paper? It doesn't happen often for me. I usually start in one place and end in a totally different direction. Well, not today!!! The MINUTE I saw this stamp I thought of this card. I am so in love with this. CAS doesn't get much better than this. I'm definitely making a bunch of these, the only thing I might change is the ribbon, I think red may give it a bit more pop! We'll see...what do you think? Red or white?

Stamp: Ippity
Ink: PTI Fresh Snow, SU! Real Red
