I did some inking on the edges and ran it through my cuttlebug to give it texture. I was going for a girly feel and added lace & the crochet flower in order to achieve that. The sentiment is center stage, popped up on a scallop circle. I even added some piercing to the scallop to go along with the polka dot embossing folder & the scallop ribbon trim at the bottom of the card.
This card was made using this weeks SSC Card Challenge.
I hope you and your little ones have a fun & safe Halloween!!

I started out by inking up Upsy Daisy and heat embossing with black embossing powder. Then I tore a piece of cardstock and twisted and turned it over the focal image while sponging the background in Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy ink!!! Easy peasy!!! I can definitely see myself using this technique again :)

Pretty straight forward I think!!!

This weeks Color Combo Challenge at Simply Scrapping Crafts is to use yellow, black, kraft & cream. I'm not usually one to use yellow, but I'm loving how it looks with all of these neutral colors. I think I'll need to use this one again. Along with the color combo, we were to add elegance using Damask prints or stripes. I turned to PTI's Damask Designs & my JustRite monogram self-inking stampers to give this card some elegance.
Come on over and join us! This months RAK sponsor is Simply Scrapping Crafts!!!

I decided to try something new and played along with the Hero Arts challenge! I have a few of their stamps & absolutely love them. The challenge there was to make a card using your favorite color/colors. I tend to stick close to the neutral color palette when papercrafting, kraft is my BFF. Green is my favorite color irl, and so this creation came about!!!!
