CAS DT Search...

Oh my goodness, I have made it to the final round :) I'm so excited. The competition is TOUGH, so keep your fingers crossed. I made three cards for the final challenge, an inspiration, this is the one I finally decided on!!!

I loved the other ones too, but I think for the challenge, this one fit the bill. I will share my other cards later in the week!!!

I hope your week is off to a great start!

Miss ya

Yup, it's another "miss you" chair card. I'm continuing my quest to improve my masculine card making. This is a wonderful card for your children to drop in your hubby's briefcase before a business trip or for a Dad that lives far away!!! You could also exchange the "dad" for "son" or "brother". The square lattice texture folder really gives this card it's masculine feel!!!

Tomorrow is Cyber Monday, are you planning to get some shopping done?

Stamp: Have a Seat, Three Little Words, "dad" non-SU
Ink: Early Espresso

For all you do

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving! We sure did :) We talked & laughed, ate way TOO much and I even left dishes in the sink over night. If you know me, you KNOW I was exhausted!!!
Taking a break from the holiday's, I made this card for the Clean & Simple sketch #118.
I received my Stampin' Up! demo starter kit on Wednesday afternoon, yipee! I finally got a chance to ink my stamps and use use some of my new dsp!!! Melon Mambo is a new-to-me color and I love how bright & cheery it is. Don't you? I looks great with Early Espresso too!
Have a good one. I hope you have had some time to get inky this holiday weekend too!

Here's my second entry into the SCS CAS Winter DT Challenges. This time the challenge is to include a family title, Mom, Dad, Sister, etc. If you've ever left me a comment here on my blog, you've probably seen a sweet tweet from my Mom! She is my biggest fan and visits my blog daily. This card is for you Mom, thanks for all of your support and encouragement every day!!! Love you.

CAS Decorations

I decided to try out for the SCS CAS Design Team. This was the card I made for the first challenge which was to decorate and add any kind of bling and ribbon. So, I decorated for a little girls birthday party. I'm not sure why, maybe because I only get to decorate for Power Rangers and Pokemon! I think any girl would love this!!! Guess what? I made it through the first round, yipee!!! I'm so excited. I'm racking my brain on the second challenge. Wish me luck!!!
I hope you've had a wonderful weekend!!!

Use those scraps!

I'm always looking for ways to use up my scraps. I've been awful about filing them away lately so I have a bunch just sitting on my desk. While the boys were (beating eachother) playing today, I decided to something with those scraps. Using my 1 1/4 circle punch & my scallop circle punch I made this fun little flower. What do you do when you have a scrap pile up? I'd love some ideas!!!

An Announcement...

Hello there!!! Happy Friday to you :) I hope you have something fabulous planned for the weekend. I'm still trying to get back to 100%, so more resting & relaxing for me. And a few hours in the stamp room I hope!!!

So, I have a bit of an announcement. If you've visited my blog before you may be wondering about my new "name" and status!! Well, I've take the plunge and signed on again as a SU! demo. My friend Catherine has been very supportive as I've gone back and forth over the past few months. With the current promotion Stampin' Up! is running, I just couldn't pass it up.

As for my name, "mamamostamps" is my screen name on Splitcoaststampers. When I joined several years ago I went through a ton of user names to find one that wasn't taken...Maureen, MaureenM, Maureenl....Our friend Dan gives everyone a nickname, mine has always been "Mo" and once I had the boys he started calling me "Mama Mo". And, so it became my SCS name and now it is my blog name as well!!!

Please bare with me as I get my blog up and running here. I will be adding links to the catalogs, etc. It may look different daily just hang in there with me, ok :)

So, on to why you are here:
I made this for SCS CAS93 sketch challenge! Gosh, I just love this set. The font is amazing and it's so easy to work with!!! I added some dazzling diamonds around the sentiment to give it a bit of POP! (click on the picture to get a better view).

If you made it all the way to the end of this post, congratulations, LOL!

Have a great day!

Here's a fun little card for you today! I love these little button birds. Aren't they just the cutest!? They just make me feel happy :) Just like Friday's do. I'm looking forward to picking up my boys from school and snuggling in for the night. Merry & Bright

Hi there! I'm so glad you came by today. With Christmas right around the corner, I figured I better get back to some holiday projects! I used the Mojo sketch from this week to get me started. I hadn't used my Holiday Button Bits set for a while and figured this was the PERFECT opportunity :) I made a bunch of these gingerbread men for a swap I was supposed to attend last November. The boys (my husband included) got sick, during the H1N1 saga, so I had to back out. Anyway...I have a ton of these little guys without a home. I used a few different patterns from the SU! Deck the Halls dsp and tied it up with some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding. I finished off the card by stamping my sentiment and punching it out with the Modern Label Punch.

I have my little guys home today for Veteran's Day. Gotta get this day started! Have a good one!!

***Fatima, I read your comment yesterday and was unable to reply. My husband WAS your Physics teacher many years ago at Morris Hills HS!! I did remember your name and Doug remembers you :) We hope you are well. Enjoy your journey with cardmaking, you can send me an email if you want to catch up...what a small world!

Fun with Flowers

Happy hump-day to you! We're half way to the weekend, YIPEE!!!!! Why am I so excited you ask? Because my Mom is taking the boys for a sleepover on Saturday, which means I may actually sleep past 6am!!! I have a dinner date with my wonderful husband AND I will definitely be spending some time in my stamping room :)

Ok, now that you know my story...onto the card, which is why you are really here!! I'm playing along with a new-to-me challenge blog Inkspirations Challenges, what a great sketch! I had lots of fun playing with ink on the focal image. First I did some shadow stamping in Chocolate Chip & Sahara Sand ink and then I made a "sky" using my sponges & Baja Breeze ink. I finished it off with some distressing around the edges!! I love the outcome, it was definitely worth the extra time & effort to make it special!

Enjoy :) Maureen

Miss you...

There is something about the vintage look that is so appealing to me lately. I am so in love with the vintage brads, lace & the chairs from SU!'s Have a Seat. I'm sure this image can be used for ANY occasion but I love to pair it with "Miss You" sentiments, it just looks lonely there all alone.

I hope you found sometime to stamp today :) Have a good one!

Elegant Thanks

Today I am sharing another CAS, yet elegant design. The Damask Designs stamp set used along with Stampin Up!'s Love Letter dsp is a perfect pair! With just a few punches & snips of paper, this one came together in a jiffy!

Thanks for coming by :) Maureen

Warm wishes

Although it's not officially winter, we sure need some warm wishes here in NEPA! It is Chill-y!! If you've followed me for a while, you may remember that I detest the cold, snow and everything that goes along with winter...well, except these cute little stamps :) I think this card could brighten even the coldest day!

Stamp: Sign Language
Ink: SU! Real Red, Pretty in Pink & Bashful Blue
Paper: White, SU dsp (retired)

Merry Christmas

The simplicity of this card just makes me smile!!! I love all of the white space and the little pops of color. This card was inspired by a photo from the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog, there was so much yummy goodness to choose from, but the banner stood out most for me! Banners are so "in" right now & what better way to use up some scraps!!!

This is a challenge for SSC. Catherine Pooler, Stampin' Up! demonstrator, is the sponsor this month. Head on over and join in our challenges to be entered into Catherine's generous RAK!

Because I Care

Happy November! I hope you had a great weekend & a Happy Halloween. Can you believe it is November already? I certainly can't. The holidays are sneaking up on us, yikes! We had a house full this weekend, but I managed to get a few minutes in my stampin room on Saturday :) Another non-holiday card (maybe I'm avoiding the holidays quick arrival). I was really itching to make a vintage inspired card with the SU! Medallion background stamp. I added some tearing & sponging, as well as an antique brad to get the feel I was going for.
Well, it's time to get this day started, I hope you have a great week. As always, thank you for stopping by and for your comments, they make my day!
