Family Time Friday

I hope you have had a lovely week. I have to say, I'm thrilled it is Friday and a 3 day weekend...even BETTER!

This year I am trying something new for my scrapbooks. I have become overwhelmed with the thought of scrapping everything, have fallen WAY behind and quite honestly, I'm loving cards right now. It's so hard to switch gears, kwim? So, this year I am attempting to take a Picture-A-Day and journal our life. Yes, this sounds a bit crazy, but I think it's doable! I'm going to be doing it digitally and instead of scrapping the only the special days and fab pics, I am going to be capturing our life, the little every day things that will go overlooked and forgotten within a year, 2 years or maybe even next month.

Today I thought I'd share a few of the pictures I've taken so far this year...

This first picture is a project Ethan did in school when I was visiting his class to do centers. I thought he did a fabulous job and was amazed that his teacher drew the worksheet herself. Although sometimes I am running out of the Kindergarten class with my hair on fire, or just a massive headache, I do love that I am able to be a part of Ethan's class every week!

This is a scene you will often see in our house...boys in blankets playing the ds. Look at Conner's knuckles! Ugh, that boy has some DRY hands, he refuses to use lotion...I don't get it! This is not the best picture or the most creative, however it is our LIFE!

This was just taken on Wednesday morning. All of the boys had a snow day and we were taking the morning slow, I looked out the back windows and saw this stunning sunrise!
Can you say, WOW!

Do you have any goals or a plan of attack when it comes to your scrapbooking?

Mo I think you have a fabulous idea going here!! I feel the same over whelmed sense of not getting anything scrapped right now...I feel like I am forgetting to even get the really important things scrapbooked! And alot of the times I just prefer the funny normal times lol! The just-us-real-life photos are the best:) Have fun doing this project!

I just love these pictures and your ideas. Ethan's picture is amazing. The boy has that artist flare going, like his mama. It is in his genes.
MAKE Conner put lotion on. It hurts because his skin is dry but in the long run it is better for him.
Oh my, am I lecturing on your blog again??????????

Maybe a way to get Conner to put lotion on is to get a white cotton glove and put it on after the lotion and he can pretend he is Michael Jackson :o)
