Getting the Mojo Back

Happy Monday!

After having everyone home for 10 days, there was little time for stamping. It seems that when I take several days off, it takes me a bit to get the mojo flowing again. I turned to some challenges to get me through...

Sketch Challenge

I used the soon to be release Valentine Defined for the card above. So I have a confession to make... I'm totally in love with Flamingos. They are a close second to my favorite, the giraffe:) It's not often that you come across a flamingo stamp, so it was a given to pre-order this set!!! Gosh, don't you just love it? Wait until you see the whole thing, you are going to NEED this one!
(PS-Anyone have tips on photographing white cards, I can't seem to get the color right!)

Technique Challenge "Kissing"
Once I got to this card, I could almost feel the mojo coming back. For the "kissing" technique, I first inked the polka dot stamp from "For All You Do" in Rose Red ink. Next, I inked up my flower from the same set in Pink Pirouette and then on the polka dot stamp. Lastly, I stamped the flower on whisper white cs and trimmed them out. I repeated this a second time to stamp the smaller flower. I haven't used the "Kissing" Technique for a while, it was fun!!!

LOVEEEEE that flamingo stamp! Holy cuteeee!!! And the second card is gorgeous too! The only thing I have found about taking pictures of white cards is doing it with as MUCH natural sunlight as possible, even if you open the window in your house and photograph it right near the window. And also play with the temperature settings in your editing program, so far thats all I have been able to figure out to get the photos to be as clean and actually WHITE as they are in real life! Hope that helps at all, if I ever find out more I will certainly share it!!
