Birthday Quilt

I have always wanted to try this technique. Today's ABC Challenge is "Q" for quilt, so it was the perfect time to try it! I started by using the SAB Ice Cream Parlor dsp (free with a purchase of $50). I cut the pieces into 1 1/4 squares and adhered them to a piece of white cardstock. Then, I ran it through my die cutting machine using the Top Note Die. I wanted the quilt to pop a bit more, so I trimmed it out and layered it on a piece of Melon Mambo Cardstock and used my Basic Black Marker to do some faux stitching!!! I also used some of the Quick Accents & Ribbon from the Ice Cream Parlor line.

This card really brings a smile to my face on this snowy Spring day! I hope it makes you smile too!!!

****Reminder: Sale-a-bration ends on March 31st. Just a few more days to enjoy the benefits of Stampin' Up's biggest promotion of the year! Click here to learn more.
