Birthday Florets

**Warning...personal post, I didn't mean for it to happen, it just did, sorry!

This weekend my Gramma celebrates her 93rd birthday. WOW! My Gram is one strong lady. She beat Breast Cancer in 1974, I think that says it all!! Growing up, we always knew she loved us, she never said it, but she showed us in the things she did. She baked with us (letting us make a huge mess in her little kitchen), visited our school during recess, let us play dress up in her nightgowns and jewelry. She always made our favorites for dinner and made special pies & cakes for each one of us. Gram was chatty in her younger days, it always took us longer to go anywhere because she had to stop and talk to each person we passed along the way. When we lost my Grandpa to Brain Cancer 3 years ago, I was sure that Gramma wouldn't live a month without him...but here we are approaching her 93rd birthday.
The Gram I remember has been gone for a long time because she has Alzheimer's Disease. She has slipped away little by little over the years. She wonders where her 9 siblings are, when someone is going to take her home and she's cried for her Mommy :( It's sad and difficult to see her these days.
Although she may not remember all the little things, I do and I always will.
Love you Gram, Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to your Gram! I'm sure it's hard to see her this way, but it's wonderful to have all those memories from when she was younger!

Very pretty card. It is so hard to lose the ones we love to such a devastating illness. May God bless her on her Birthday.
