Doilies

(Click on photo to see doily details.)

Doilies are all the rage in paper crafting! Doiliy stamps, die cuts, patterned paper, you name it, doilies are there! While playing around with the medallion stamp from Artistic Etchings last week, I stumbled upon a doily design :) I simply stamped the medallion once and punched it out with the Scallop Circle Punch, then I stamped it again in a coodinating color and punched it using my 1 3/8 Circle Punch. I layered the two, paper pierced them along the outside and adhered them with Rhinestone Brads! And, Wa-la, doilies!

I kept my card design really simple because I wanted to show off those doilies. For a little bit of interest, I did some faux stitching along the outside of the card.

What do you think? I hope you'll give it a try. Use some of your stamps to make a doily design all your own! Or, try mine and add a button & bakers twine, some bright colors and see how they come out. I'd love for you to share your work!

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
