Sponged Backgrounds

I've been playing a lot with sponged backgrounds lately.  I'm loving the different looks you can achieve by adding different techniques and using different color palettes.  Here I started with Pool Party in the center, then moved to Baja Breeze and finally Elegant Eggplant.  It reminds me of a night sky.

For added dimension, I did some shadow stamping.  I used Elegant Eggplant ink and stamped slightly off to the left of the embossed image.

Sponged backgrounds is the challenge at StampNation this week.  If you haven't joined yet, you should!  We have almost 200 videos, can you believe it?  There is so much inspiration there that you will be wishing you had more hours in the day!!!!  I promise!!!  Click here to learn more about StampNation here, I hop to see you there.
