Friday Fun!

I have quite a few things for you today.  First up, another Christmas card using Fair Isle Backgrounds.  This time I paired it with Christmas Lodge.  These two sets really complement each other well.  I was able to resist adding glitter to the lodge rooftop, I think that is a first :)

My sample for the Christmas in July challenge at StampNation.

Next up is my sample for this weeks CAS-ual Friday's Challenge.

I don't use a black card base often.  It really is elegant and the pop of the Pool Party adds a nice contrast to the black & white!

Last, but certainly not least, I leave you with a poem that was shared by one of the members at StampNation.  It's too good to NOT share with all of you.  I'm thinking of printing and framing it in my stamp room.  My husband got a chuckle out of it too!  Enjoy :)

The Stamping Wife
Author Unknown

She learned to stamp on Monday

Her embossing was quite fine.
She forgot to make us dinner,
So we went out to dine.

She brayerd backgrounds Tuesday

She says they are a must.
They really were quite lovely
But she forgot to dust.

On Wednesday it was birthday cards

She says that chalking's fun.
Shading, blending, and watercoloring.
But the laundry wasn't done.

Her card swap was on Thursday

Using green and blue and red;
I guess she really was engrossed,
She never made the bed!

It was shaker cards on Friday

Using techniques she just adores,
But she never seemed to notice
The crumbs on all the floors.

I found a maid on Saturday!

My week is now complete
My wife can stamp the hours away,
And the house will still be neat.

Well, it's already Sunday,

And my forehead's feeling damp.
I cursed, I raved, and I ranted. . .
The MAID has learned to stamp!!!

Love your card. The blue looks beautiful with the black and white. I used a cut off tag as well! :)

LOL, Maureen! I love the poem! And you cards are both beautiful. That house stamp on the holiday card is stunning. I tend to shy away from those types of images but really I shouldn't. It goes so well with the nordic images too. And your CFC card rocks!

Such a delightful poem and an exquisite card. The card stands out among the thumbnail because of the pop of aqua pool color, lovely.
