Happy Couple

Two posts in one day?  I don't remember the last time that happened!  (Scroll down to see my Faux Toile CASE'd note cards.)  My boys were completely occupied playing a game together this morning (thank you Conner & Ethan!), so I snuck upstairs for a little me time.

I started by die cutting the hearts from silver and gold cardstock and then covered them with glossy accents. I  put those aside to dry while I worked on the rest of my card.  Next I did my stamping.  I stamped the text from Defining Words in Sahara Sand ink, then with the same ink I stamped the leafy wreathes from Spring Tags.  Because I wanted the second wreath to be a bit lower than the first, I masked off the text before stamping.  My sentiment banner was cut from Banners Trio and the sentiment stamped in gold ink.  When the hearts were finally dry (several hours later), I added them and some other embellishments to this elegant wedding card.

 My inspiration today comes from...

StampsDefining Words, Spring Tags, Heartfelt Mix (Wplus9)
Ink:  Sahara Sand, Gold (SU!)
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Gold & Silver (SU!)
Accessories:  Very Vanilla Seam Binding, Linen Thread (SU!), Hearts & Banner Trio dies (Wplus9), Rhinestones & Button

So pretty - love the colours and the use of the text. Whenever I try to combine challenges, the card looks 'forced' somehow, but this is just perfect!
