The perfect blend

Although I love patterned paper and have quite a stash, more often than not I grab my stamps when adding patterns to my cards.   Just about any stamp can be used to make a background, you just need to look at your images in a different light.

On today's card, I die cut the coffee cup and handle and stamped them with the outline image included in the coordinating Cozy Coffee stamp set.  Then, I used the flower images from A Pocketful and stamped them in Pool Party ink on the coffee cup.  Using the smaller flower image, I went back over each flower with Early Espresso ink.  I love this color combination and the fun summery pattern on this coffee cup!  I wish I had one just like it...I love my coffee :)

I added a simple border on the bottom of the white panel by stamping one of the border stamps from Fair Isle Backgrounds.  I finished off the card with bakers twine and the single rounded corner (I just can't get enough of that lately!).

**My card was inspired by the Clean and Simple Sketch (FTL198).  My card is a very loose interpretation ;)

I love this card Maureen!!! That coffee cup is so perfect. I LOVE how you round one corner of the main image of your cards, it just adds the perfect touch and I never think to do that!!!

Love this card, Maureen! Love the colors. I keep putting off getting that Coffee Cozy die and stamp set and even thought about ordering it again yesterday. I think you just pushed me over the edge! :) Thanks for the inspiration!
