Stars & Stripes...

With the 4th of July just a day away, I was inspired to make a patriotic card.  These little hexagon shapes remind me of quilts and the Americana/country decor that I grew up with in my childhood home.  Keeping that in mind, I added touches that remind me of the homespun decor in my Mom's home...buttons, hearts & stars and of course, the red, white and blue.  My sentiment needs no explanation, God Bless the USA!

*My card today was inspired by Retro Sketches...

Stamps:  Happy Hexagons (PTI), So 80's (Wplus9), Right at Home (Hero Arts)
Ink:  Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy & Cherry Cobbler (SU!) Fresh Snow (PTI)
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Accessories:  Hexagon Cover Plate (PTI), Folk Art Floral Dies (Wplus9), Baker's Twine (PTI) Sponges, White Gel Pen
