Back to School

With school starting for my boys on Monday, "Back to School" is definitely on the brain!  We went shopping this afternoon for new backpacks and lunch bags.   I never buy new clothes for the start of the new school year.  I like to wait until the seasons start changing and the kids need them.  Plus I miss the back to school rush and get to shop by myself while the kids are in school :)

I made this card for several "Back to School" challenges.  I decided against a traditional card with pencils or buses and instead designed a card a little more grown up for my almost fourth grader.  Just a little something to let him know I love him, I'm thinking of him and so very proud of him always. I stamped my background using Fair Isle Backgrounds and paper pieced the stars.

**This card is being entered into the following challenges:  The Outlawz, Totally Stampalicious, Splitcoast CAS, Always Crafting, Simon Says Stamp & Show, The Paper Players

Stamps:  A Pocketful, Fair Isle Backgrounds, Super Star (Wplus9), Rainbows & Clouds (Lil 'Inker)
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy, Real Red, Early Espresso (SU!)
Paper:  Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, Real Red, Crumb Cake & Real Red dsp (SU!)
Accessories:  Banner Trio &  Love Notes dies (Wplus9), Corner Rounder

Your card is very cute. I like the predominantly white background. The red and blue stamped and die cut pieces are very pretty against the white. Thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy

What a great card, Maureen! LOVE that you stamped the stitched diamonds inside the row! And of course, that sweet, little pocket, with its polka dot stars, is just perfect!
