Monday night we had the pleasure of meeting Catherine's entire family. She had us for dinner and was the perfect hostess. I have heard about Randall and the girls for so long and loved seeing their personalities and interaction together. Randall joked with my boys about Polly Pocket and dress up, they "got" him and it was great. Being that she has all girls and I have boys, there was some awkwardness with the kids (my kids- you know...ew, girls!), until Catherine mentioned a climbing tree and Mario Cart :)
Wednesday was our big stamping day. Catherine picked me up at the hotel and we went straight to Archivers (love that store), then to her studio! Our plan was to design a card together. Something that was a little bit me and a little bit her. We found ways to, um, get along! haha... I have been very clear about my stamping OCD, like the fact that I sand the edges of my cards, she shouldn't have been surprised!! It's no big secret.
Anyway, we came up with a really fun, cute CAS card...a CASE of this card.
Catherine and I agreed that we probably wouldn't get along so well if we stamped together ALL the time :) But our different personalities and styles really compliment each other. I think that is why we get along and work so well together!
In typical Catherine style, she had the video camera rolling a lot of the day. She edited it down some and posted it on her blog. The girls at StampNation got the full version, believe me it is good for a lot of laughs!!! Catherine was determined to get me to dance bomb, but I was not having it.
We had a great visit! It went too fast and I am already looking forward to our next get together (yet to be determined). Until then, we'll keep creating and chatting together at StampNation. I'd love for you to join us there!!!
