Summer Fresh Banners

I can't believe it is here, that last day of Summer vacation!  In so many ways I'm ready for the kids to go back to school.  Less time together = less fighting, or at least we hope :)  I'm ready for the routine, but I'm sad too.  I'll miss my little guys.  The house seems so big and lonely when everyone leaves.  My hubby has another week before he returns to school for the new school year, so at least we'll get some time together and he'll get to see the kids off for their first day of school tomorrow.

As Summer winds down, I was drawn to this Summer Fresh patterned paper collection by Simple Stories for today's project.  I love the fun colors and patterns.  It's bright and well, fresh, like the name implies.  I know that in a matter of a few weeks my projects will be switching over to Fall and Winter, so today I'm hanging onto Summer.

My project was inspired by this week's CAS-ual Friday's Challenge (CFC67).

Stamps:  Happy Trails (PTI)
Ink:  Early Espresso (SU!)
Paper:  Very Vanilla (SU!), Summer Fresh pp (Simple Stories)
Accessories:  Tags Scallop Combo #2 die (Sizzix), Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Wood Button, Linen Thread (SU!), Banner Trio Die (Wplus9)

This is beyond gorgeous Maureen. I love how you the banners compliment the tag...feel like I'll need to case this lovely creation!

I'm right there with you on the kids going back to school. This will be the first year everyone will be in school all day. Strange to be there 15 years later!

Maureen, this is gorgeous! I love all of that wonderful white space paired with so much interest and texture. I also love that your tag echoes the banners.

Maureen this is gorgeous! I love the colors and patterns you put together! I know what you mean about quiet. As much as I am loving a little time to myself, I am missing the kiddos! They are having so much fun at school (and getting along better here at home!)so I know it was time! Summer went by way too fast!
