What's "NEW"?

It seems "NEW" is a pretty popular theme around challenge blogs this month.  I posted one variation of "New" on Tuesday for my CASology sample.  Today I have my sample for this weeks StampNation challenge:

"In honor of the New Year, make a card using something NEW."

The minute I saw this die and all of the coordinating products, I knew I had to have them.  Back in the Spring of last year we said goodbye to my Grandmother, an avid knitter.  This product line screams Gramma and reminds me of all of the sweaters and blankets, ponchos, hats, scarves, etc...she made for me, my sister, my children and everyone else who touched her life over the years.  She would sit for hours in the Winter knitting afghans that kept her lap warm while she worked.  While in the Summer she made baby caps to donate to newborns at the local hospital.  She always had something in her knitting bag, usually a few projects she was working on.

This product line brings back so many memories!  Funny how a stamp set could mean so much, right?!!!

Stamps: Purls of Wisdom (PTI)
Ink: Early Espresso (SU!)
Paper: Whisper White (SU!), Patterned Paper (PTI)
Accessories: Sweater Die & button (PTI), Heart (Wplus9), Bakers Twine (SU!), Marker for faux stitching

What a sweet memory maker your "new" toy is. It sounds like you get your creativity from your gramma. <3
