Shocker!

Can you believe it?  I colored this image.  I know it's not perfect, but I did it :) This is only the second image I've colored since taking the Copics Certification class in the beginning of May and I'm pretty proud of it.

My card was inspired by this weeks CASE Study Challenge, another fabulous week with Maile Belles.  I also have to give Cindy Lawrence credit as I am totally trying to CASE (COPY her coloring!) haha

I have one more card to share today.  I posted the newest edition of the CAS Classroom over at StampNation earlier today.  This lesson focuses on repetition.  The above card is one of my samples and seems to be a member favorite.  I don't usually toot my own horn, but I love how this turned out.  The colors are so soft and soothing.  I think that the repeated stamping really draws the eye right to the sentiment!

Doug & I are headed North for the long weekend.  The weather is pretty miserable, but I'm sure we will enjoy ourselves regardless.  It's our first time away without the kids in 3 years, so this is a real treat!  Whatever you are doing this weekend, be safe and enjoy yourself :)

Happy Memorial Day Weekend, woohoo!

I LOVE your rose card, Maureen! Aside from the lovely image and your coloring of it, that scalloped border is just the right touch! Thanks for reminding me to pull out my dies and use them more often like this.

You should toot your own horn and be totally proud of your colouring! Both cards are gorgeous! I have a hunch you are going to be the CASE Study winner this week...!!!

Fantastic coloring, Maureen! I love all the depth you've created. The second card has such great movement and I love the scoring - a technique that I love when I see it but always forget to use myself...
