CASE Study #155

What a fabulous month we've had with Jennifer McGuire as our awesome
and inspiring muse at CASE Study!

We got to sneak in one more inspiration from her...

And my card...

I loved her banners and three little hearts.  I took those aspects of her card as well as some of the colors and came up with this "Make a Wish" card.  I chose stars rather than hearts to make a tween boy birthday card.

Head on over to CASE Study to see how the rest of the design team was inspired.

With the start of school here this week, my thoughts immediately drifted to back to school...books, backpacks, pens and pencils.  But, I went in a different direction and chose book print instead.

Now, it's your turn!

CASE Study #154

We are back at CASE Study today for another week with our fabulous August muse
 Jennifer McGuire!

And my card...

I was really taken with the stamping over the different strips of color on Jennifer's card, so I tried to portray that feeling on my card.  I colored with Distress Markers on watercolor paper, then brushed water over it with an aquapainter.  I went back over it quite a few times with water as I was going for a muted look.  Once the paper dried I flicked water over it again to give it a splotchy look.  Finally I added my stamped images and sentiment.

Head on over to CASE Study to see how the rest of the design team was inspired.

It's time for a new CASology Cue Card!!!

For some reason this cue card really stumped me.  At first I made a card using just stamps, ink and paper, leaving me with a finished product of paper, but I thought that was a really far reach.
I went back into my supplies and started digging around in some of my stickers and embellishments.  That's when I found the perfect solution for this cue card!

Can you believe it?  I didn't use one stamp on this card!!!

Now, it's your turn!
How are you inspired by PAPER?

Me, The Moxie Fabber!?!

I've been bursting at the seams to share this news with you!!

Cath from Moxie Fab World contacted me a few weeks ago and asked me if I'd be interested in being the Moxie Fabber of the week.  Interested, heck yah!

After screaming and jumping up and down, trying to put a coherent sentence together to explain to my husband and kids WHAT a Moxie Fabber means, I quickly responded YES!

I had a blast doing my interview.  You can click here to take a peek!

I thought it fitting on my Moxie Fabber day to participate in a Moxie Fab challenge or two :)

I combined the Trendy Triangle Challenge with the Holiday Card Challenge and came up with this...

Triangles are so hot right now, we mostly see them in really graphic designs.  I decided on a softer look for them today.  I went with a bit of an unconventional color combo for a holiday card, but I think it works wonderfully!

Thank you Cath for inviting me to be a Moxie Fabber of the Week!  I am honored beyond words.  Moxie Fab World is an unending source of inspiration because of YOU

Moxie Fab Mission - Home Decor

It's day 3 of my Moxie Fab complete each of the challenges posted over at Moxie Fab World.  Today's challenge is to create a home decor item.  I had a feeling that this would be one of the challenges, though I hoped it wasn't.  If you stop by my blog often than you know I'm not so much a home decor kind of gal :)  What's a challenge if it doesn't make you try something outside your comfort zone?

I wasn't quite sure where to go with this challenge, but finally decided on sprucing up some candles I use as a centerpiece.  Well, I used to use them until our kittens started taking the pine cones and carrying them all over the house.  I used Authentique patterned paper and stickers that came in a kit that I purchased last year to make this adorable Dixie Cup Advent Calendar.

This was such an easy project.  It didn't take much time at all.  I'm excited to add these candles to my holiday decor this Christmas.  Besides adding hemp to the center candle, I did nothing else to it.  The cardinal is beautiful enough to stand on its own.

To the two side candles I just added some stickers and pearls!

Hmm, maybe I like this whole home decor thing more than I thought!

I'm back with day two of my Moxie Fab Mission - Holiday Edition.  I've challenged myself to do each of the challenges Cath posts over at Moxie Fab World this week celebrating Holiday Cards & More.  Today's challenge is to make holiday gift wrap.  I stamped and decorated a pillow box as my gift wrap :)

Moxie Fab Mission...Holiday Edition

I'm on another Moxie Fab Mission!!  I'm challenging myself to play along in all of the challenges this week over at Moxie Fab World as Cath celebrates the newest Special Edition of Paper Crafts Magazine, Holiday Cards & More.  Now, my last mission was when my boys were in camp.  This week they are home, so we'll see how it goes :)

Today's challenge is to make a Holiday Gift Tag.

It's hard to see in this photo, but the snowflake was die cut from a Be Creative Tape Sheet and then dipped in Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  It's so pretty and sparkly in real life :)

Thanks for stopping by!!

CASE Study 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop

CASE Study turned 3!!!!
Three amazing years of inspiring stampers just like you and me :)

I have joined in the anniversary celebrations each of the three years, this time last year I never would have believed you if you told me I'd be a part of the DT the following year.
Still a dream come true!

In celebration of CASE Study's 3rd Anniversary, current and former DT members
& many past muses are hopping along in THREE Blog Hops,
all about inspiration!!!

The hopping started on Thursday, so if you missed it, click here, you aren't going to want to miss out.
I say this for two reasons...

First, the talent in that group is amazing.
Second, there are prizes, lots of them for each of the 3 Blog Hops!

For today's hop,
you should have come to me from the amazing Jean Martin's Blog
if not, head over to the CASE Study Blog so you can start from the beginning.

On to my inspiration...
My go to for inspiration lately, like many others, is Pinterest.
I have more pins than I know what to do with :)

So today I've used two of those pins as inspiration for cards.

My first inspiration.

And, my card...

I loved the colors and graphic nature of the inspiration.

My second inspiration...

And, how it inspired me...

It was so much fun to finally use some of my pins!
I hope you've been inspired.

Now, head on over to the very talented Lenet Mos.  She's your next stop along the way.
And make sure you head to CASE Study to see today's prizes!

Happy Thoughts

I'm stopping in quick to share a card I made for this weeks Muse Challenge.  When I saw that Lynn was the muse, I knew I'd have to play along.  I love her style!

Here is Lynn's card, I think it's pretty clear where I found inspiration!
**Please excuse my poor inking on the frame :(  I didn't even notice that until I was editing the card on my computer.  Doesn't that just make you crazy, when you don't see something until the card is made?  Urgh...

Thanks for stopping by!  TGIF!

StampNation is turning on the inspiration for the month of August.
