I'm popping in quick to share a card I made for this weeks sketch challenge at StampNation. Doug (my hubby) has a birthday tomorrow and while these aren't colors I would usually gravitate to for him, it just kind of happened. We have a house full of illnesses (as I listen to cough, sniffle, etc in the background), the odds of getting a chance to make another card are slim to none!
Here's the sketch I used...
Have a good one!
Stamps: Birthday Style, Fabulous Frames (PTI) Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Pool Party (SU!), True Black (PTI) Paper: Whisper White (SU!) Accessories: Fabulous Frames & Birthday Style dies (PTI), button & twine (SU!)
Is Easter really in one week from today? yikes! Thank goodness for Dawn's Mood Board Monday inspiration, it definitely got me in the mood to make an Easter card.
I've mentioned it before that I teach bimonthly lessons in CAS design at StampNation. This card is one of my samples as I revisited White Space this week. I love the crsip clean look of stark white, but lots of gals "fear" it. I'm hoping my lesson this week helps them get over their fear.
What do you think about white space? Love it or fear it?
Stamps: Very Vintage Florals, Spring Tags (Wplus9) Ink: So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, Elegant Eggplant (SU!) Paper: Whisper White, So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder (SU!) Accessories: Folk Art Floral, Very Vintage Florals & Pinking Square dies (Wplus9) Bakers Twine (SU!)
Though it doesn't really feel like it yet. I'm ready for some warm weather, that's for sure. And I'm hoping that's what I get when I head to Raleigh, NC for StampNation LIVE in 13 days (not that I'm counting or anything!) I heard it was 70 there earlier this week. I may have to sit outside and soak up some of that southern sun :)
Speaking of Spring, that's this theme for this weeks StampNation challenge: To make a card inspired by Spring. Here's what I came up with:
Have a great weekend!
Stamps: Rosie Posie (PTI), Thankful Leaves (MFT) Ink: Not Quite Navy (SU!) Paper: Very Vanilla, dsp (SU!) Accessories: Rosie Posie dies (PTI), Linen Thread (SU!)
Have you seen the new Die-namic Blueprints by My Favorite Things? If you haven't, you must check it out. The idea is absolutely BRILLIANT! Perfect for beginner stampers or when you are short on time or mojo! Mine arrived yesterday and I had to put it right to use. I combined the dies with some other MFT goodies and this weeks Dynamic Duos Challenge.
StampNation's newest challenge just went live! Inspired by St. Patrick's Day, the challenge is to make a card using mostly GREEN and wishing luck or encouragement. Green always makes me thing of nature. We live in a very wooded area, so when the trees have their leaves, green is just about all you can see. I'm really missing that right now, as well as our family hikes. I think my card portrays that :) I thought this sentiment from Over Under Easy by PTI was perfect for wishing someone encouragement!
Have you checked out StampNation yet? We are just about to hit StampNation's 300th video! Plus, challenges, written tutorials, bimonthly trend articles and the CAS Classroom run by yours truely :)
The community itself is top notch. I'd love to see you there. Click here to find out more.
Stamps: Thankful Leaves (MFT), Over Under Easy (PTI) Ink: Lucky Limeade, Old Olive (SU!) Paper: Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade (SU!) Accessories: Mat Stack 4 Die (PTI), Woodgrain Embossing Folder (Tim Holtz), Button, Linen Thread & Ribbon (SU!)
A super quick post today, our internet has been in and out all day. I hope I can get this posted before it's gone again!
I combined this weeks color blocking challenge at CAS-ual Fridays with a very loose interpretation of the colors at The Play Date Cafe . Talk about quick & easy! I used the newly released Fresh Squeezed Stamps set Fresh Flair, though I had to dig out a different heart because I lost the heart that came in the set :(
I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend!
I'm so excited to be a part of the Cloud9 Inspiration Team! I just about jumped out of my seat when Suzanne emailed me asking if I'd be interested. Um, YES! It's no secret how much I love Wplus9 products!
The inspiration photo that we have to work with this month is just so beautiful. The colors are so fresh and Spring-y. I knew I'd be drawing inspiration from that!
I hope you'll join the blog hop too! Head over to Cloud9 for all the details!

It's Day 3 of the Fresh Squeezed Stamps March release! Have you been following along? Lots of cute sets :)
I have another awesome set to introduce to you, Friendly Folk, a primitive country set with endless possibilities.
This set makes me feel all warm and cozy! There are so many images that complete any country project off perfectly. Included is a small square, which I used to make the checkerboard pattern, buttons, stitching, stars & more.
Now head on over to Fresh Squeezed Stamps where you will be able to view the full set, more samples by the Design
Team and be able to enter for a chance to win Friendly Folk.
Stamps: Friendly Folk (FSS) Ink: Cherry Cobbler (SU!), True Black (PTI) Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Basic Black (SU!) Accessories: Linen Thread, 3/8 inch circle punch
Get ready because this months release is awesome! There is a little something for everyone.
I get the pleasure of introducing Breath of Fresh Flair, a trendy set that can be used for any occasion.
The little images included in Breath of Fresh Flair just make me happy. I thought they'd make perfect mini cards to give to my boys when they have done something we are proud of, have a big test or just because. I'm calling this my little box of happy notes :)
I put this happy little box on my kitchen counter. I figure that if I keep it close by, I'll be more likely to use the 3 x 3 mini cards inside!
That's all I have for you today, BUT there's more over at Fresh Squeezed Stamps. There you will be able to view the full set, more samples by the Design Team and be able to enter for a chance to win Breath of Fresh Flair.
I'll be back with more from the new release later this week, but continue to visit Fresh Squeezed Stamps daily!
