PIN-spired!

There are so many sources of inspiration...fashion, home decor, fabric, art, food and my favorite, Pinterest.   I visit Pinterest daily (multiple times, obsessively really!) and pin everything from photography, to recipes, to color combos, cards and organization.  Now, how often do I actually go back and use what I've found?  Well, not often enough.  My most used and referred to boards are my recipe boards.  I do use them to make my weekly meal schedule.  But, what about all of the other wonderful items I pin? Hardly ever.

Today I am changing that!  I'm starting a weekly blog feature called PIN-spired.  Each Sunday I will be posting a project inspired by one of the pins on my Pinterest boards.  I've seen others do this and I think it's a great way to get inspired.

Browsing through my boards, I found this for my very first PIN-spiration.

I simply love the colors and touch of gold!  I mimicked the gold chevrons and flowers from the cake right onto my card.

Are you PIN-spired?  I'd love to see how this photo inspires you!  If you make a card using this as inspiration leave me a comment so I can check it out!!!

Maureen, this is a brilliant idea! I have a bit of an addiction to Pinterest and wish I went back more often to actually look at the pretty things I pin! Maybe I'll have to do what you are doing and force myself to do it. A brilliant idea! Anyway, I adore your beautiful card and the inspiration photo, too! Anything you touch turns to gold, I think! Just gorgeous!
