On Friday, I mentioned the craving I've had for donuts since my Celiac diagnosis (read in post below). Well, look what happened yesterday...
Can you believe it? Yes, those are REAL gluten free donuts from a dedicated gluten-free facility!!! This is such a funny story...we had a former student/friend of Doug's visit yesterday. She's been helping me with my diet, she is an absolute wealth of knowledge about food and allergens and so inspiring. Before coming to our house she and her sister went to New York City and this is what she brought me (and a bag of all kinds of gf goodies). I was shocked, of all the things she could have picked, she brought me DONUTS!!!! What a wonderful coincidence for me!! I gave her a big hug and told her I loved her :) She even made sure she picked up food that I can order online, so the next time I want donuts I can order them!
Thanks to everyone for the notes and recipes. If you've been searching for a gluten free donut, look no further...BabyCakes. I ate the one in the upper left last night, yum!!!
