Handmade Ornaments

{Izzy 2000}

Merry Christmas Eve!  I can't believe the big day is just about here :)

I wanted to share the ornaments I made for my tree this year.  I've been wanting to add photos to my tree for quite some time, but I couldn't figure out how to do it in a way that they'd be preserved year after year.  UNTIL I saw photos on wood slices on Pinterest.  I'm not a crafter, outside of cards of course, but these were super simple!

I purchased Wood Tags from this shop on Etsy.  You can also buy wood slices at Michaels or stores similar to that and drill holes in the top of them.  I printed all of my photos in black and white and cut them to fit my tags.  I adhered them to the wood with Mod Podge, then added two more layers of Mod Podge to the top of each ornament.

I have almost all of our family represented, some of the photos didn't work so I have a few more to do.  Me and Doug, my Mom, siblings, our grandparents etc.  It's like having all of our family with us!  I love that!

Did you make an holiday decor this year?  I'd love to see it if you did!

Merry Christmas!

Tried to get to the wood ornament shop via the link in this post but I can't get there: probably my user error but can you give me the name of the etsy shop and wood tags you used please? Thanks!
