Lil' Inker Designs October Release - Day Three

It's the last day of the Lil' Inker Design Team Blog Hops.  If you haven't checked out the new release make sure you do so, everything is available now in the Lil' Inker Store

You should have arrived here from Mary Dawn Quirindongo's Blog.  If not, head to the Lil' Inker Store Blog to start from the beginning.

For the past two days I've been sharing Christmas cards, today I'm moving away from Christmas and showing you designs that can be used all year long!  My first card uses the I'm All, You're All stamp set which I've pair with the Balloon Dies.

This was such a fun card to make, a fun sentiment set certainly deserves a fun technique.  I painted with watercolor paints on watercolor paper that I die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies.  Once dry I stamped my sentiment.  The balloon dies and stars were covered with Wink of Stella for a little added shimmer and shine.

My next little project features the Eat More Donuts stamp set, Donuts Die set and the Limited Edition Stitched Gift & Note Card Holder.

How cute is this?  I'm thinking this is perfect for Dunkin' Donuts gift cards!!!  Speaking of donuts...ugh, I don't usually get personal on my blog, BUT I'm dying for a donut friends!  I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in May and have done amazingly well eating gluten free (the only "medicine" for a celiac).  I feel great...except that I'm craving donuts something terrible!  My sweet husband has offered to make them for me, I don't know that it's the same.  If there are any fellow Celiacs out there that can point me to a donut, I'd be forever grateful ;)  Until then I'll just keep stamping donuts and dreaming about them....

Time to keep hopping along now.  Next up is Sarah Jay, so head over to her blog because you know she'll have something AMAZING to show you.  Make sure to leave comments along the way too, because Laura is giving away 3 - $15 Store Credits!

I hope you've enjoyed my release projects!  I'm excited to start seeing some of these projects popping up around blog land!

CAS(E) this Sketch! #98

This is my 2nd post today & I'm late, sorry :(
Please scroll down to see my Lil' Inker Designs release post.

Here's this week's sketch at  CAS(E) this Sketch!

And my take on the sketch...

This sketch is great for using patterned paper!  I used the newly released Big Christmas stamp set by Lil' Inkers for my sentiment and focal point.

I'd love to see you playing along!  Head over to CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the DT as inspired by this week's sketch.

Lil' Inker Designs October Release - Day Two

We are back with our second day of design team blog hops for the Lil' Inker Designs October release.  Have you seen all of the fabulous new products in the  Lil' Inker Store?  You must check it out!

You should have arrived here from Mary Dawn Quirindongo's Blog.  If not, head to the Lil' Inker Store Blog to start from the beginning.

Today my post theme is snowflakes.  My first card features the new Snowflakes Cover Up die.

I used a distress tool to add Evergreen Bough and Broken China Distress ink to my card base.  Once my background was blended, I flicked it with white paint and water to give it a realistic snowy look.  I love this die and that beautiful color peeking through.

This next card uses the adorable Cozy Winter Wishes stamp set.

Here I used the new Stitched Mats - Rounded Rectangles.  I just love these dies.  I stamped the snowflakes with Versamark and then heat embossed them with Pool Party embossing powder on Early Espresso paper.  I kept the rest of the design simple so the images really popped!

My final card today has a bit of a nordic feel.  Here I've highlighted the Big Christmas Stamp Set.

This is my favorite stamp from the whole set, it's definitely the reindeer!  I'm loving them!  This design is the perfect card for using up patterned paper.  I'll be back later today with a card for CAS(E) this Sketch that uses another stamp set from this set with patterned paper.  So stay tuned for that!

Time to keep hopping along now.  Next up is Sarah Jay, so head over to her blog because you know she'll have something AMAZING to show you.  Make sure to leave comments along the way too, because Laura is giving away 3 - $15 Store Credits!

See you tomorrow!

Lil' Inker Designs October Release - Day One

The fun begins today with the first of three days of blog hops for the Lil' Inkers October release.  All of the new, amazing products are available NOW in the Lil' Inker StoreYou must check it out!   This release is a combo of both holiday and non-holiday products, something for everyone!

Before we get to that though, today we say goodbye to Heather Campbell.  She is such an inspiration and will most certainly be missed.  She is joining us today with one more post as part of the Lil' Inkers team.

With every goodbye comes a hello...I'm thrilled that Chrissy Larson & Laura Williams are joining the Lil' Inker Designs team!!!!  They are going to knock your socks off with their talent.

You should have arrived here from Mary Dawn Quirindongo's Blog.  If not, head to the Lil' Inker Store Blog to start from the beginning.

Today I'm bringing on the bling.  I love to use glimmer paper on my holiday cards and that is exactly what I've done here.  My first card features the amazing Baubled Christmas Tree Die, along with Stitched Mats:  Rectangles and the Quilted Stitched Pattern.

It's hard to see in this photo, but the tree and stars were cut from glimmer paper.
Then the tree was decorated with lots of sequins and rhinestones!

I didn't think this card even needed a sentiment, the tree says it all.

This next card is my favorite card for this release!  It uses the Big Christmas Stamp Set (which I have been using a TON) and the Seasonal Stars Die set.

Silver and navy is such a classy combination and one of my favorites to use at Christmas time.  Here I heat embossed the sentiment from Big Christmas with Silver Embossing Powder.  The Seasonal Stars were die cut from both Dazzling Diamonds and Silver glimmer paper, then layered with a dimensional.  A scattering of Sparkling Clear sequins finished this design.

Time to keep hopping along now.  Next up is Sarah Jay, so head over to her blog because you know she'll have something AMAZING to show you.  Make sure to leave comments along the way too, because Laura is giving away 3 - $15 Store Credits!

Have fun hopping & shopping!  See you tomorrow!

Pretty Pink Posh + Winnie & Walter

Hello and welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh and Winnie & Walter Inspiration Blog Hop!  Members from both teams are hopping along, sharing projects featuring products from both companies.  Fun, right?

My card features lots of Pretty Pink Posh and Winnie & Walter goodies :)

My entire design centers around the beautiful tree image from A Tree For All Seasons!  I stamped that first in Crumb Cake ink, then started building my card around it.  I thought a faux-shaker made with the Stitched Duo 1 die was perfect for my design.  I needed a sentiment that would fit in the little window, so I preformed a bit of stamp surgery (aka cutting my stamp in half-gasp!).  The sentiment and adorable cat image are both from This Awesome House.   I combined sequins from the Classic Christmas Mix and the Trick or Treat Mix to make pretty little Autumn leaves and finished the design off with Brown Twine.

Time to hop along now.  There are two prize packs up for grabs.  Winners will be chosen randomly along the hop by both Pretty Pink Posh and Winnie & Walter.  Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PDT on 10/27/2014.

Have fun!!

Tag You're It #8

It's time for a new challenge over at Tag You're It!

Classic Fall was all I could think when I saw this inspiration from Lisa!

I can't get enough of these Kaleidacolor ink pads from Imagine Crafts.  They are so much fun and really make images pop!  I used the Vineyard ink pad to stamp my leaf from the Fall Leaves set by My Favorite Things.  These colors are perfect for Fall and something I would never think to put together myself!  The rest of my tag was made using the Reverse Confetti stamp set Forever Fall and the Tag Me Confetti Cuts.  As always, Pretty Pink Posh Mossy Green and Metallic Gold sequins finish this tag off perfectly.

Head over to Tag You're It! to see how the rest of the DT was inspired.  I hope to see you playing along.  Our challenges are open for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to play!

Happy Friday everyone :)

WPlus9 Release Day

Today is the day!
The October release products are now available at the Wplus9 store.

I have one more card for you using Snowflake Backdrops, the Snowflake Trio Die and Hand Lettered Holiday.

I'm loving the elegant look of black and white for Christmas.  I die cut the snowflakes several times in black, then once in white.  Doing this helps make the snowflake pop off of the background.  The sentiment was first heat embossed in silver, then I die cut it from white and off set it a bit from the embossing.  This is a nice, subtle but elegant detail.

That's all from me for now.  Can you believe I haven't even gotten a chance to use all of the release products?  So, I'll be back soon with more WPlus9 inspiration!

Now, what are you waiting for?  Go shopping at WPlus9.com ;)

WPlus9 - Merry Christmas

**This is my 4th post today, scroll down to see a peek at my SN project & 2 more cards using WPlus9  October release products.

I'm back again with another card using the WPlus9 October release.
Are you getting ready to add these fabulous products to your cart?  The wait is almost over!

My next card features the Stag Trio die and Hand Lettered Holiday.

This card is the epitome of CAS design and absolutely perfect for mass production.  Stamp a wreath rather than die cutting and it's even easier to mass produce.  I love black, white and gold for the holidays, it's so elegant.   I paired these new holiday products with the Spring Wreath Die, they work so well together.  Hand Lettered Holiday is a set I had my fingers crossed for, I will be using this again and again for the holiday season!

Make sure you've stopped by the WPlus9 blog and visit Kara and Joni for more holiday inspiration.

WPlus9 - Merriest Wishes

I hope you are enjoying WCMD.
My friend Catherine is here and we are stamping the day away :)

I'm back with more inspiration using the WPlus9 October release, which is available tonight!!!

This card features Merriest Wishes and Festive Greetings.

You all know I'm not much of a colorer (is that a word?) so I was a bit worried about tackling this set.  I decided to do just a little coloring and paper piece the rest.  I have to say, I'm excited about how it turned out!  I added the Christmas lights from Festive Greetings to the top corner to balance out my design.   I had an unfortunate accident with my black ink and  smeared it right down the center of the card...Pretty Pink Posh sequins to the rescue :)

I'll be back later, see you then!

WPlus9 Winter Wonderland

 HAPPY WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!

I am having a blast with the WPlus9 October release!
In honor of WCMD, I will be posting quite a few cards for the release on my blog throughout the day.  I plan to stamp the day away today, so stop by here every once in a while to see new WPlus9 inspiration.

My first card today features the Winter Wonderland stamp set and companion die set.

Can I just say that I absolutely LOVE this release!  There's a huge variety of products but they all work so well together.  To make the background, I clear embossed the tree and snowflake images, then added Peacock Feather, Broken China & Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks with a blending tool.  The deer (look at that heart nose!) and scarf were die cut and stamped, then added with dimensionals.  The sentiment is from the Merry Little Christmas stamp set.

That's it from me for now!  Make sure you stop by the WPlus9 blog for more cards and a giveaway.  Joni and Kara are sharing cards on their blogs as well.  LOTS of inspiration for you for WCMD.

I hope you are doing something fun today and celebrating our awesome hobby!

WCMD StampNation Style!

We are throwing our 3rd annual WCMD celebration at StampNation.

This year we are traveling to iconic places around the world.
We will visit 12 of the 26 countries represented in our community.

What's different this year is that we began WCMD today, so that all of our members can celebrate WCMD when it is WCMD it their country.

So far we've been to four iconic places, the sneak peek of my card below is for an iconic place in Egypt.  Can you guess where?  Not much of a challenge to figure out, huh :)

Want to get in on the fun?

WPlus9 Holiday Cheer

I'm back today with another card using the WPlus9 October release projects.

Today's card features Holiday Apertures and Strictly Sentiments 6.

These are really fun products.  I'm excited to see the many different ways that stampers use the Holiday Apertures Die.  To make this card, I cut small strips of card stock and placed them on the back of the die cut piece.  I'm usually more of a traditionalist when it comes to holiday cards, but I went with a color combo that's a bit more fun and trendy.

Stop by the WPlus9 blog for more inspiration and giveaways.  The DT is also sharing, so make sure you check out their blogs too!!!

CAS(E) this Sketch #95

Here's this week's sketch at  CAS(E) this Sketch!

And my take on the sketch...

I'd love to see you playing along!  Head over to CAS(E) this Sketch to see how the rest of the DT as inspired by this week's sketch.

WPlus9 October Release - Festive Greetings

It's release time again at WPlus9 Design Studio.  There are tons of new goodies coming your way this month.  I am lucky enough to have them in my hot little hands and I can't wait to share my creations with you.  This is my favorite time of year for card making, so I always get excited about the holiday release.  Dawn has posted a preview of the full reveal on the WPlus9 blog, you can check that out here.

Today I'm sharing a card I made using Festive Greetings.

I love the little strand of lights included in this set.  They make such a cute accent, focal point or background.  Here I've stamped the strand in White Pigmant Ink, then I went in and stamped the lightbulbs with Cranberry Crush and Appletini ink.  I filled in some of the background with tiny snowflakes from the Winter Wonderland stamp set also being released this month.

Make sure you check out the WPlus9 Design blog for daily inspiration and giveaways leading up to the release on the 5th.  Kara and Joni are sharing on their blogs today too!  So make sure you visit them for even more inspiration.
