WPlus9 April Release - Clean & Graphic Cards

I have two clean and graphic cards for you today, both using a similar card design but different products.  I didn't plan to do this, it just kind of happened.  This is a layout I use quite often :)

My first card uses the new Love Mom stamp set, Love Shower Layers Die and Coal Mine cardstock.

I love the bold graphic nature of this Mother's Day card!  To start I cut a bunch of 5 x 1/8 inch strips of Coal Mine Cardstock.  I placed them on a diagonal and adhered them to the card base using liquid glue.  Once all were in place and dry, I trimmed the excess that hung over the edges.  Next I die cut the rectangle using the Love Shower Layers Die from white cardstock and stamped the sentiment first in black ink, then repeatedly in Silver Lining ink.  The sentiment was then framed with flowers and buttons.

This next card features the Love Showers stamp set and Love Shower Layers Dies.  As well as the new Lake House Spray Mist.

As you can see, this card uses the same basic design as the first but it's a bit more stepped up.  I love the addition of Spray Mists to the WPlus9 product line.  Here I've die cut a white piece of card stock and spritzed it several times with the Lake House Spray Mist to get a custom colored card stock.  The misty color goes perfectly with the umbrella die and overall "shower" theme.  The dies here were first colored with the Clear Wink of Stella pen and then covered in glossy accents.  The sentiments and stamped hearts were heat embossed.  Chevron Washi Tape, Bakers Twine and sequins dress up this CAS design.

I hope you are enjoying my release products.  Make sure you visit Dawn at the WPlus9 Design Blog, Kara and Joni for even more inspiration.
