My third tip...Just Fake It!
Thankfully along with the line stamp trend came watercolor. With watercolor, you can fake it! My favorite watercolor technique for line images is to heat emboss first (this contains the water) then add color with Distress or Zig markers and spritz with water (or add water with an aquapainter). The water does all of the work and you get a beautifully watercolored image. Here I used Zip Markers and just scribbled a little bit of color onto each leaf. I didn't color it in, it was just a small amount of color. Then I spritzed it with water and done! See, I didn't even have to know what I was doing, I totally faked it. A Kindergarten could easily master this idea ;)
I used the same technique here. The results are really stunning! I hope you'll give it a try!

LOVE the look of this card, Maureen! My Zig markers are on order & I'll be Casing this! Thanks for the great tips!
Loving your new series of tips - thank you so much. I love to colour, but I'm hopeless at it. I have a ton of copics, zigs, prismas....and they get very little love :o(
The cards you are sharing are all gorgeous. x
Gorgeous...absolutely love this card Maureen.

Simply lovely, I love this idea and will try it out today. Thanks for the tip.
This is my favorite way to color line images! Embossing really helps me color in the lines. Your leaf and card are gorgeous, Maureen. Thank you again for this helpful series.
I don't do a very good job of water coloring if I don't do this. I am so glad to have these to reference Thank you Mo this is so timely.
Hi Mo ~ Gorgeous card. I love Distress inks and this technique. Thanks for reminding me to use this one again!
