Masked & Stamped Fall Background

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by today.  You are going to see me jumping back and forth between Fall & Christmas a lot this month.  I can't make up my mind about what I want to stamp :)

Do you ever feel like all of your projects look like something else you've done?  I feel like I've been doing that a ton lately.  I stand at my desk (I can't sit when I stamp!?) and I struggle to come up with something unique.  To help mix things up a bit, I'm trying different color combinations.  I'd normally choose to use traditional fall colors with these stamps, but I'm on a mission go beyond my comfort zone.  Not that this is a crazy combination, it's just enough different to feel fresh and new to me.

To make my card I started by cutting a piece of Vanilla card stock to 3 7/8 x 5 5/8 inches.  Next I masked off the top and bottom of the card stock leaving a 1 3/4 inch strip.  Using the newly released Autumn Blessings stamp set by CAS-ual Fridays, I stamped first with the outline stamp in Early Espresso ink.  Then I filled in with the solid images in Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides and Simply Chartreuse inks and removed the mask.   I die cut the Scallop Tag (LOVE!) from Vanilla and the "Blessings" word die from Early Espresso card stock.  I placed the word die first and then did the stamping.  Lastly, I assembled all of the pieces on an Ocean Tides card base.

I hope your week is off to a great start.  I'll be back on Thursday to kick off the Lil' Inker Designs October release.  See you then!
