I'm thrilled to be celebrating Merry Monday's 200th challenge! My dear friend Kristie invited me to be her guest and I couldn't be more pleased.
We had this awesome graphic to inspire our creations.
I went with the color graphic and the sketch.
Shadow stamping is such an easy technique that is sure to impress every single time. I stamped each of the images first with white pigment ink on Kraft cardstock. Once dry, I went ahead and stamped again, slightly offset, with red or green ink. I filled in the spaces with a variety of small snowflakes that were stamped in the same white ink. Then I die cut the stamped piece and sponged the edges.
I veered slightly from the sketch and used a bow tied with Linen Thread rather than adding an embellishment like the sketch. I planned to use the boughs on my sentiment strip but I ran out of room. That's the great thing about sketches, you can interpret them any way you want!
I hope you'll join in the 200th challenge at Merry Monday! Thank you Kristie for inviting me to be your guest.
