Congrats!

Hi all!  Happy Tuesday.  I'm popping in quickly today to share a card that I made for the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #218.

I looked at this sketch for a few days and nothing was coming to me.  I wanted to do something fun and different with it.  Then the lightbulb went off...cut the top with a border die and place over a watercolored panel.  It's been ages since I did any kind of watercoloring.  I stamped and heat embossed the Curtis Background stamp on watercolor paper.  Then I pressed my distress inks (listed below) onto a craft mat and sprayed with water.  I wet the paper just a bit with a paint brush and then dropped in the ink.  Once my watercolored piece was dry, I added it to a white card base.  Then I adhered the die cut white panels with foam tape.  Easy Peasy!

I finished off the card by die cutting the newly released Spot On Sentiments:  Congrats die, from black and white card stock.  I layered them and added it across the bottom of the card, like the banner in the sketch.  Gosh, love this die!!!  Swoon...

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  I hope your week is off to a great start!
