Who is ready for new Catherine Pooler ink??? Me, me, me! Seriously, it's the best ink out there. If you haven't gotten your hands on some, what on earth have you been waiting for? This ink is a game changer!!! Along with 8 new ink colors there are also 3 new die sets and 3 new stamp sets releasing.
The newly released ink colors are perfect for all of your Spring and Summer projects. They are pastel, yet saturated and just plain gorgeous!
To make my card, I started with a 4 x 5 1/4 inch piece of white card stock. I used the circle die to create a mask and then stamped the small floral images included in Simply Stated in little clusters of three. Once the circle was filled, I sponged along the edges with Mint to Be ink and removed the mask. Then I used another circle mask, one size bigger, and covered my inking. Then I heat embossed the Peppermint Stripe Background in white. I was looking to add a subtle detail and this worked out just perfectly! I think the rest of the card is pretty straight forward.
My next card uses the new ink colors Melon Ice, Mint To Be and It's a Boy. It also uses Beautiful You and the Modern Damask Background stamp.
I had a blast making this card, though my original idea looked absolutely nothing like this, the creative process was fun! I started by inking up and then stamping the Modern Damask Background on white card stock, then I sponged with coordinating ink. The flowers were also stamped and sponged, a great way for a non-colorer like myself to add color to a line art image! I assembled the card to create a faux shaker and I'm smitten with the end result.
That's all I have for you today. It's time to start hopping along now! Make sure that you leave comments along the way.
Miss Catherine is giving away 3 sets of ink (or an equivalent gift certificate if already purchased). Comments close on Monday, April 24th at noon EST.
Good luck and happy hopping!
