SOA Naturally Inspired Blog Hop - Day One

Welcome to Day One of the Naturally Inspired Stamp of Approval blog hops.  Today myself and some of my favorite designers are sharing cards using the the Naturally Inspired Stamp of Approval collection!  If you haven't heard of the Stamp of Approval (SOA), where on earth have you been?  haha, just kidding!  SOA is an exclusive collection of stamps, dies and accessories created for Catherine Pooler.

Naturally Inspired SOA Collection will be released to the Wait List on June 7th!!  And, by the looks of the Wait List, it's going to sell out quickly.  This is a limited collection that will only be available until they are sold out, so make sure that you are on the Wait List to be notified when it is available.  StampNation members that are on the Wait List will be notified first (a little perk of being a member!) and then the rest of the Wait List will be contacted!

I made a ton of card have two cards using this collection.  Today I am sharing my two favorites.

I had a blast with this card.  Here I am featuring the Medallion Mix-up and Simply the Best stamp sets, as well as the Best die.  The Medallion Mix-up set is a blast to play with.  You can mix and match pieces, layer on circle dies, use individual pieces to create custom backgrounds, etc. It's a very versatile set.

My next card is a bit softer and shows off the Wild Garden stamp set and the Simply the Best stamp set and Best die again.

The Wild Garden stamp set is one that Catherine has been wanting for a while and I'm thrilled to see it come to life.  If you follow me, you know I'm a huge fan of floral image...anything inspired by nature, really.  I love that this set has a mix of flowers and leaves, that can be used together or on their own.

To make this card, I stamped many of the leaf images included in Wild Garden in shades of green to blue, focusing around the edges of the panel.  I sponged both the stamped layer, as well as the Best die.  I added the banner to complete my sentiment and embellished the finished design with sequins.

My favorite types of cards to make are cards that use natural images, I will never have enough florals!  I find nature so inspiring...the colors, textures, even the sounds of nature.  We recently moved and I'm getting used to new noises.  While I used to hear peepers and owls, I now wake up and hear geese flying overhead.  It makes me want to jump out of bed and create beautiful sunrises with ink and stamp with silhouette images (Wild Garden is perfect for that! The DT will rock your world with their creations).

What about nature inspires you?

That's it from me today!  It's time to start hopping along.

Make sure to leave a comment on each blog because Catherine is giving away one of the Naturally Inspired Stamp of Approval collections for EACH day of the hops.   That is 3 boxes!  The more times you comment, the more chances you will have of to win! (If the winner has already purchased a box, they will be refunded!)

You've got until Thursday at 9:00AM EST to get those comments in. The winner will be announced on Catherine Pooler's blog!  Good luck and happy hopping!
