Medallion Mix Up for Christmas, Bundles & Savings!!

Hello there!  I hope you got some holiday shopping done this weekend.  I'm not quite ready for holiday shopping just yet.  But now that we've decorated our house and put up our trees, it's starting to feel more like the holidays are upon us!

Speaking of shopping, have you added Medallion Mix Up to your stash yet?  This fun background building set is perfect for any occasion, even Christmas!

Here I paired it with the Joy die that was included in the Winterhaven SOA collection and a sentiment from WPlus9.  I absolutely love it!

I made several of these, switching out the sentiments each time.

Can I tell you a secret?  This card is an exact copy of one I made in the Spring for the Naturally Inspired SOA release!

I fully believe that you don't have to make every card unique.  If you make a card and love it, why not replicate it??  I love the holiday version of this card as much as the original.  You'll probably see this card again, for a different occasion!  If it works, why fix it!!!

If you like the products I use, head on over to Catherine's store.  Lots of products are on sale...stamps, dies, stencils and accessories!  Here's are some of my favorites, check out the price of these bundles.  WOW!!!

Happy shopping!!!  I hope you find some good deals!!

Paradise Found Release Blog Hop

Hello there!  Welcome to Day 2 of the Paradise Found release blog hops!  I'm thrilled to be sharing some projects that I made with the newly released inks and products.

If you haven't gotten a peek at the new Spa ink line, here's some eye candy for you...

8 gorgeous colors!  Same beautiful coverage as the Party collection.

The new release also included new stamps, dies and accessories.  My first project features the Winter Woodland stamp set and Sauna, Mandarin Spice, Juniper Mist and Royal Treatment inks.

This stamp set was love at first site for me!  I am head over heels for that deer.  I'm not usually drawn to whimsical images, but man, I love that deer.

The Winter Woodland stamp set is perfect for scene building.  To create my scene, I used the snowdrift die from the Winterhaven die set to create a mask for the bottom of my card.  I sponged with Sauna, Mandarin Spice, Royal Treatment and Juniper Mist on the top edges.  I was careful with the blending between Mandarin Spine and Royal Treatment, as the two don't blend well together and I didn't want to wind up with mud brown ;)  Then I flicked the background with water.  Next I stamped all of the images using the MISTI and Midnight ink.  I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment. I finished the card by heat embossing some white snowflakes in the background.

My next card features the Plaid Background and Wonderful Time of the Year stamp sets a rainbow of Spa inks in Peppermint Scrub, Mandarin Spice, Sauna, Green Tea and Daydream.

A rainbow card for Christmas?  Why, YES!!!!  I channeled my inner Kristie while making this card.  Kristie is the queen of rainbows.  I started by stamping the ornaments on a white panel.  They look so cute all stamped out like this.  Initially I was going to stamp them in a straight row but I think this looks better like this, it's fun and adds flow to the design.

I thought I'd stop there and add the panel to a white card base but a rainbow Plaid Background is even better!  I find it easiest to lay the background stamps flat on my workspace and add the ink directly to the stamp.  I overlapped between colors and I'm thrilled with how they all blend together!

It's time for you two hop along now.  Two more items of business before you head out...
  • Not only are there new inks, stamps and dies in the store but the products from the Naturally Inspired collection have also released!  WOOT.  So if there was anything you wanted or you missed out on the collection.  It's available here.

A New Ink Collection, YES!

I've being waiting for this release for TWO years!  I'm thrilled that the Spa Collection is finally almost available for purchase!  These colors are right up my alley, I've had so much fun with them.

Here's how the Spa Collection differs from the Party Collection:

  • Party Collection Colors are high saturation colors…bright and vivid.  Think lime green and bright pink.

  • Spa Collection Colors are low saturation colors…muted (but not muddy).  Think olive and dusty rose.
Catherine has been revealing the colors over the past week or so.  Check it out:

My favorite color is still a secret.  I can't wait for you to see it!  Catherine will reveal the last two colors today.

The full ink release will be available for purchase on Tuesday.  WOOT!  I'll be back soon to share some projects using these fabulous new inks!

What do you think so far?  Are you a Spa girl or Party girl?

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps - Happy Thanksgiving

Fall is definitely in the air here in the Northeast.  We've had quite a few crisp mornings, even a bit of frost!  Fireplaces are being stoked and the cable knit sweaters have come out from storage.  I love the beginning of Fall (not so much the part near Winter).

My favorite part of the season is the colors, I just wish that they'd stay a little bit longer!  Here I've used the colors of Fall to inspire my design.  I inked the images from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Amber Waves in shades of orange and yellow.  To make them pop, I paired them with neutrals.

Amber Waves is a wonderful set for Fall and Thanksgiving, as is Wheat Wreath.  The two together combine everything you need for the season.  Consider adding them to your collection!
