Fun with the Split Chevron Stencil - Day 2

I'm back today with another card I've created using the Split Chevron Stencil.  This time I first sponged through the stencil, pretty heavy handedly, with Rose Petals, Polished, Shea Butter and Seafoam inks.  Then I removed the stencil and sponged lightly using the same colors.  This creates a beautiful tone-on-tone background.

The Thanks die was cut 4 times, 3 from white card stock and once from Midnight.  I grounded the sentiment with the cute little banner from the Zen Feathers set, then finished the card with a scattering of 4mm Onyx sequins and bakers twine.

I have one more card for this Fun with the Split Chevron stencil mini-series.  It uses one of my favorite stencil techniques.  I'll be back to share that soon.

I hope I'm inspiring you to get out your stencils & create!

The colors are beautiful and I love the tone on tone effect. Thanks for the inspiration.
