SOA Home for the Holidays is now available!

YAY!  The Home for the Holidays SOA collection is now available for purchase!  Hurry, it's only available while supplies last.

Before you head off to the shop, I have one more card to share with you!

I had a blast building backgrounds with this collection!  Cozy borders stole my heart from the first time I saw it.  I see many Cozy Border backgrounds in my future :)  A lot of the Creative Team stamped Cozy Borders on Kraft card that!

Here I chose several of the border stamps and alternated stamping them in Rockin' Red, Twilight and Midnight.  The result reminds me of a comfy winter sweater.  To finish it off, I added a simple sentiment from Tiny Wishes on a Ting Tag die cut.

Time for you to go grab your SOA collection, before it's too late!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Home for the Holidays Stamp of Approval Blog Hop

Welcome to Day One of the Home for the Holidays Stamp of Approval blog hops.  Eeeek, holiday stamps, my fave!  If I had to pick one and only one occasion to stamp for it would be Christmas, hands down!

If you haven't heard of Stamp of Approval (SOA) it is an exclusive collection of stamps, dies and accessories created by Catherine Pooler Designs.  These collections contain everything you need to make a variety of cards without having to reach into your stash.

The Home for the Holidays collection will be released to the Wait List on September 19th at 9AM and the general public at 6:00PM!!  This is a limited collection that will only be available while supplies last, so make sure that you are on the Wait List to be notified when it is available.  StampNation members get early access on September 18th (a little perk of being a member!).

Now that we've gotten through all of the nitty-gritty details, it's time to take a peek at some projects!

I'm a HUGE fan of stamping my own backgrounds and this collection is PERFECT for that.  I've stamped the background of every.single.card I made for the release.  Once I started, I just couldn't stop ;)

The new products featured on my first card are:
  • Christmas Cookies Stamps
  • Tiny Wishes Stamps
  • Sugar Cookies Dies (Add-on)
  • Tiny Wishes Dies

Tiny Wishes is such a fun set with so many possibilities, as you'll see along the hop!  I first saw the Home for the Holidays SOA collection when I was visiting Catherine in Raleigh this Summer.  As soon as I saw the Tiny Tags stamp set I said, "I'm going to stamp a background with this!"  So that's the first thing I did when I created my cards.

To create my background, I started by lighting drawing a 1-inch grid onto a 3 3/4 x 5" piece of white card stock.  Then I stamped the images in Rockin' Red & Sand Castle where the grid lines met.  You can use any of the stamps in the collection and create a variety of backgrounds like this one.  You also don't need to draw the grid, you can stamp randomly too.  I let the inks dry for a bit before erasing my pencil lines.

Then I just stamped and die cut the sentiment and snowflakes from the Christmas Cookies stamp set and Sugar Cookies dies.  The pieces were assembled and added to a white card base, then embellished with two rhinestones.

My next card features:
  • Cozy Borders Stamps
  • Holiday Mix Stamps
  • Christmas Cookie Stamps
  • Merry Christmas Layered Word Dies
  • Christmas Cookies Dies (Add-on)

The Cozy Borders stamp set is RIGHT up my alley, perfect for all of your holiday creations.  Again, I've stamped an entire panel.  This time using Garden Party, Lime Rickey and Rockin' Red.  I adhered  the stamped panel to a white card base and then die cut the Merry Christmas Layered Word dies from Midnight card stock and added just the "Christmas" to the bottom third of my card.  The "Merry" from the Holiday Mix stamp was stamped in Midnight, several times using the MISTI stamping tool. I wanted to be sure the black ink really popped off of the stamped background.

I finished by stamping and die cutting the cute little label and adding it to the card with foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed my projects today!  I sure did have fun creating them.  I have more to share.  So, continue to check back.

Time to go hopping along now.

Don't forget to leave comments along the way.  THREE commenters will be chosen at random from all the comments on all the blogs (one each day) to win a $25 gift certificate!

Winners will be announced on the blog on September 24th.
